Superior Gemological Laboratory was founded in February 2015.
With master jeweler Jack Naljian having served wholesalers, jewelers and customers in the Western United States for more than a quarter century, Jack attended—and successfully completed—the Gemological Institute of America’s (GIA) Graduate Gemologist Degree program in 2014. Now, the same jewelry community benefits from the expanded services offered by Jack, and now, Superior Gemological Laboratory, including Diamond Certificates, Gem and Jewelry Appraisals, written Jewelry inspections and Gem Identification.

Jack Naljian Bio
Back in 1989, Jack Naljian began his career in the field of jewelry as a diamond and color-stone setter. Initially, Jack spent more than six years at one of the finest jewelry manufacturing businesses in Los Angeles, Harrymar Jewelry. Thereafter, realizing the vast opportunities available with his expertise in the field, Jack started his own business in the heart of the world-famous Downtown Los Angeles Jewelry District, JR Jewelry. Running strong for almost two decades from the same business location, Jack has served not only those in the business, but he has catered to the jewelry needs of customers throughout the western United States.
During these 25 years, Jack has solidified his status as a true jeweler. From simple jewelry repairs to custom-made jewelry, Jack has satisfied thousands of customers while gaining their trust and loyalty.
Recently, in 2014, Jack obtained a Graduate Gemologist degree from the world-renowned Gemological Institute of America, commonly known as GIA. This gemologist degree, in conjunction with Jack’s 25+ years of experience in the jewelry industry, gave rise to “Superior Gemological Laboratory” to offer new and existing customers and jewelers alike expanded services in Diamond Certificates, Gem and Jewelry Appraisals, and Gem Identification services.
